6495. Smith, D. March 28. Corrugating.-In a machine for corrugating sheet metal the standards for supporting the top slide A are each made in two parts C, C', with engaging tongues b and held together by bolts a. Each standard has bearings D, E for a crank shaft G operating the top slide by rods F and pins c. The bottom slide B rests on wedges H having screwed ends so that they may be adjusted to vary the the space between two slides as desired. The crank shaft may be driven by belt pulleys K, K<1> and internal gearing in a flywheel I. The parts of the standards may be separated to allow the crank shaft to be withdrawn laterally.
