Abstract
4031. Morgan, J. W. Feb. 25. Displaying.-Cabinets for displaying oilcloth, linoleum, &c. consist of cases, constructed as shown in Fig. 1, having series of rails a, a' at the top and bottom along which move stiles or supports C, to which are hinged sashes D for displaying the articles. The sashes and stiles can be drawn towards the front of the case, as shown, for displaying the articles on either sides of the sashes, or they can be pushed back so as to be completely enclosed in the case. When drawn towards the front, the sashes drop into notches a<5>, and are thus retained, or they may be retained by weighted catches. Weights E at the back serve to balance the case when the sashes are drawn towards the front. The articles may be held on the sashes by means of supplementary hinged sashes, secured thereto by any suitable means, such as by a hook and pin.
