Abstract
19,330. Williams, A. Oct. 29. Lasting channelling; insoles soles.-Relates to methods of attaching soles and insoles. The upper is drawn over and temporarily secured to the insole by tacks in the usual way. The insole is channelled at D, much farther from its edge than is usual, and the upper is sewn to it by a Goodyear or other machine, as shown in Figs. 3 and 5, so that it is drawn tightly over the last and lasting and bracing as usually performed are dispensed with. The outer sole is channelled, and sewn to the insole through the upper as shown in Fig. 5.
