Tyres, pneumatic. -The air tube h of any form cf pneumatic tyre is protected from puncture by strengthening the tread part of the tyre with strong canvas or like strips k, coated with granulated vegetable ivory, steel, or like material e. The strengthening- parts are preferably placed in position during the manufacture of the tyre, the granulated material being secured by rubber solution, which is afterwards vulcanized.
