Abstract

9662. Keiper, H. B. May 25. Driving blowers.-A hand-driven gear for rotating fans, blowers, and the like is shown in Fig. 2. A fan C, of ordinary construction, is mounted on a shaft C<5>, which has a worm C' engaging with a worm-wheel F. A pinion G on the same axis as the worm-wheel is driven by a toothed wheel H rotated by hand. The gearing is enclosed in a divided casing A, suitably bolted together so as to form a compact arrangement.
