Two rear riders, seated on saddles 38, actuate a cranked axle 11, carrying a central flywheel 16 and geared by chains &c. with the rear axle carrying the driving-wheels 5. The front rider drives cranks 21, 22 on an axle geared by a chain with the rear cranked axle 11. The axle 7 carrying the front wheels 8 is pivoted centrally to the frame, and carries a stem 23, 24, on which a steering- handle 25 is mounted. A second handle 33, controlled by the rear riders, is mounted on a stem 28, fitted at its lower end with a chain-wheel 29 gearing with a chain the ends of which are connected by cords 31 with the front axle 7. The frame is constructed as shown.
