Bicycles; tandems; frames.-Relates to a tandem bicycle in which the front rider is seated over the front wheel and drives the front wheel only through gearing of the "Crypto" type, the rear rider being mounted on a dropped diamond or other extension of the frame and driving the rear wheel .through the usual bicycle chain gear. The rear wheel is, and the front wheel may be, fitted with a free-wheel clutch to allow a lady rear rider to coast without stopping the front rider. In the frame shown in Fig. 1, the saddles are carried in supports h, i, and the fixed handle-bars in a socket j formed on the frame.
