Loom stopping-mechanism; stop-motions.-Looms for weaving plush and similar pile fabrics are provided with means for stopping them manually and automatically. The shipper lever j, which is fulcrumed at j<1>, has a pivoted handle j<2> to disengage a retaining-book i mounted upon a vertical shaft h<2>. The hook may also be disengaged by handles f<3>, g<1> at opposite ends of the shaft f, which has a stud g<2> to engage with an arm h on the shaft h'. The weft stop-motion slide acts upon the lug f<4>, and the usual bunter or slide, which is operated when the shuttle fails to enter the box, acts upon another arm h<3> on the shaft h<2> through a connecting-rod h<4>. The warp stop-motion may also be connected to these devices.
