11,572. Tulloch, D. June 5. Annular-chamber type.-A wheel A is centrally mounted, on a shaft A', inside the chamber B, and carries a vane A<2>, which rotates in the annular chamber B<1>. Sliding abutments G, worked by external eccentrics or by the wheel A, divide the annular chamber into two parts, into which steam is admitted and exhausted through steam valves e and corresponding exhaust valves. The valves are controlled by cams H acting on arms H<1> on the valve spindles. The engine can be worked expansively, and is made reversible by duplicating the valves and steam passages.
