Wedge-shaped rings of rubber D prevent rolling of the tyre and increase its resilience. Filling-pieces G are used to prevent creeping of the air tube E between the cover and the rim. In a modification, the cover B is made thin, and a removable tread piece is attached thereto and to the rings D, which are extended at the sides to underlie the said tread piece.
