Conductors; conduits.-The conductor is of angular section, such as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, or as in Figs. 5, 6, and 7, in which a‹ is the rubbing- surface for the collector B, or it may be of other sections. It is mounted on insulating-posts or insulators a<2> on the sleepers a or guard rails a' and is covered and protected by the covers a<6> and side shields a<7>, a<70> supported on the insulators or conductors so as to leave a passage for the collector between the side a<7> and the guard rail a'. The side pieces may be omitted, and the parts may be duplicated for a return circuit.
