8713. Liddle, J., [Globe Nozzle Co.] April 6. Nozzles.-An india-rubber sphere 5 with diametral passage 6 is enclosed in a metal casing 2, 4 about which a hemispherical cap 10 turns. The cap has four orifices 11, 12, 13, 14 of different sizes, which may each be brought opposite the passage 6 ; it is retained by pins 15 engaging an annular groove 16. The orifice 14 is surrounded by fine perforations 18.
