Limbs, artificial. - A hinge-pin 14 for the joint of an artificial limb is of tubular form, either throughout its length, or at its ends only, and extends across the casing 10 of the limb. The pin 14 is carried by plugs 13 formed on thin carrying-plates 12 and inserted through holes 11 in the casing 10, on the inside of which, at each side, is a thin washer-plate 15 formed with a boss 16 engaging the aperture in the casing. The plug and inner plate may be of aluminium, while the pin is preferably of steel and may be serrated at its ends, both inside and outside, in order to engage the plug and the inner plate firmly to prevent turning. In a modification, the plate carrying the plug also carries a boss engaging the aperture in the casing, the inner plate in this case being plain.
