188,860. Nelson, A. W., and Cross, E. A. Sept. 26, 1921. Holders for sliding windows.-Rollers 10 vertically movable in the looped ends of spring-arms 8 on brackets 2, Fig. 6, mounted in recesses 1 in the sash S and bearing against the bottoms of the guide-channels G, are, when the sash is lowered, held stationary by friction until struck by inclined stops 7 on the brackets 2 which tilt the rollers so as to force the sash laterally against one of the guide-strips. This pressure, which is sufficient to hold the sash, will not prevent it from being forced down.
