Abstract

188,844. McOmish, D. J. Sept. 19,1921. Soothing-teats. - A soothing-teat comprises a nipple 2 having an open end and an external bead 4, a connecting pin 8 with an enlarged head 7 and a cylindrical portion 8a extending beyond the bead and a screwed shank 6 for engagement with a cap 12 which abuts against the end of the cylindrical portion 8<a> and causes a shield 11 to be gripped between the bead 4 and the neck of the nipple. The pin is hollow, and communication between the inside of the nipple and the air is established by a hole, 14 through the head 12.
