Abstract

210,888. Dowell, R. S., and Dowell, A. W. Nov. 11, 1922. Soothing-teats.-In a baby soother of the kind adapted to contain honey &c. to be withdrawn by suction, the reservoir is formed with one opening only, viz., that which is closed by the teat: the usual second opening, closed by a stopper or valve being omitted. In the form shown the reservoir a of glass, porcelain, vulcanite, silver, &c., and of hemi-spherical, flattened, or other shape, is formed with an integral guard-ring or flange b and with a beaded portion c tightly engaged by the teat d. The reservoir may be provided with a rubber or other protective sleeve and may be adapted to take a removable guard ring in place of the integral ring shown.
