Abstract

188,563. Privett, H. C. Dec. 12, 1921. Air-tubes.-A self-sealing air-tube is built-up as shown in Fig. 1 by a tube 3 of ordinary tube rubber, a layer 4 of harder rubber, circumferentially-spaced inextensible cords 6, and a layer 5 of plastic composition or soft rubber. The tube is then turned inside out so that in use, Fig. 5, the layer 5 is in compression.
