Abstract

Valves actuated indirectly. - A swivelling mount for a, liquid hydrocarbon burner comprises a rotatable cylinder 6 provided at its upper end with a tapered plug 7, Fig. 3, fitting a tapered part 4 in a fixed bracket 1, its lower end being reduced and fitting in a socket 5 in another fixed bracket 2. A fuel supply pipe 12<a> fits into an aperture 12 in the wall of the bracket 1 and when the burner 20 is in the firing position, this aperture registers with a corresponding aperture in the plug 7 to supply fuel to the chamber 8. Steam and/or air under pressure is similarly supplied to the chamber 13 by a pipe 15. The chamber 8 opens out into a passage 9 having a screw-threaded outlet 10 in which is fixed the supply pipe 21 for the burner 20. The supply pipes 18, 19 from the chamber 13 are screwed into the outlets 16, 17.
