Abstract

188,350. British & Foreign Industrials, Ltd., and Cooklin, I. March 3, 1922. Telescopic and expanding tables.-In an extensible table wherein a leaf 10 may be raised from and lowered to a stowed position on slides 2, 3 attached to the ends 1 of the table, the inner slides 3 have pins 13 engaging in slots 14 partly inclined and partly horizontal in bars 11 on either side of the leaf. Upon separation of the ends of the table in the usual manner, the leaf is moved up into position by the engagement of a projection 17<x> on the outer slides 2 with the end of the leaf. In lowering the leaf, projections 18 on the leaf strike stops 19 on the outer slides 2 upon preliminary opening of the table to cause the leaf to leave the ends, and it is lowered upon screwing up the table.
