Abstract

199,107. British & Foreign Indus trials, Ltd., and Cooklin, I. March 13, 1922. Telescopic and expanding tables. - In an extensible table wherein a leaf 2 may occupy a stowed position within cut-away parts of slides 3, 4 upon separation of the ends 1 which are attached to the slides, a projection 10 on the outer slide 3 engages a bar 9 on the leaf and raises it into position on an incline 13 formed by cutting away part of the inner slide 4. In lowering the leaf it is caused to leave the ends 1 by the engagement of a projection 19 with a notch 20 in the slide 3 upon preliminary separation of the ends. The lower edges of the leaf are cut away, leaving inclines 16, 18. Specifications 186,957 and 190,514 are referred to.
