Abstract
187,857. Collins, W. H. Nov. 11, 1921. Photograph and like mounts.-Photographs and the like are secured upon sheets or mounts by means of strips or sheets of material which are secured to the sheet or mount and have longitudinal folds forming flaps which are secured over the edges of the photograph by means of adhesive. In the form shown in Fig. 1, a sheet 30 having flaps 31 at its edges is secured by adhesive to the mount 4, the flaps being bent over the edges of the photograph and secured thereto. The front of the sheet 30 may also bear adhesive. The flaps may be cut at an angle at the corners, and may have their edges curved or shaped to give any desired form of opening. Strips 6, Figs. 5 and 6, folded longitudinally to form flaps 7 may be employed, the strips overlapping or abutting at the corners. The sheet or mount may have an opening around the edges of which are secured strips bent to the form shown in Fig. 8, so that a photograph may be secured on each side of the sheet. The strips may be coloured, and the mount or sheet may be marked with a rectangle or other figure to serve as a guide. One Provisional Specification describes also mounting-means in the form of a sheet having adhesive on one side, and provided with an opening through which the photograph is displayed.
