Abstract
187,623. Hyle, J. A., and Whitemam, G. W. Oct. 20, 1921, [Convention date]. Rail joints.-Fish-plates 3 have a thin curved web 9, upper and lower parts 5, 7 formed with an excess of metal and enlarged at 6, 8, and are secured in place by wedge bars 15 and fishbolts 16. The two inner bolts pass through an elongated opening in the plates 3 which enables the parts 5, 7 to be expanded and flexed when the inner bolts are tightened.
