Abstract

187,565. Coates, W. A., Gittins, G. E., Davies, D. R., and Metropolitan- Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd. July 13, 1921. Oil switches comprise two fixed contacts adapted to be bridged by the simultaneous movement towards one another of two symmetrically disposed bridging - members. The contacts 3, 4 are preferably supported as described in Specification 187,027. The bridging-members 5 are carried on bellcrank levers 19 which are pivoted on an extension 20 of the contact 4. The other arms 21 of the levers 19 are connected by a link 22 and a twoarmed lever 20<a> and the latter is actuated by the substantially vertical movement of a rod 10.
