Shedding-motions.-Nap or cover is imparted to woven fabrics during weaving by a shedding arrangement by which the tension on the top shed, at the moment of beating up, is less than the tension on the bottom shed. For this purpose, cam-shaped or eccentrically-arranged dollheads A, A<1> operating the healds B, B<1> are of such a shape and setting that, each time the shed C changes, one cam gives off or takes up more rapidly than the other.
