Abstract
187,399. Wenham, G. H. Aug. 30, 1921. Vehicle windows; frames.- The guides for frameless glass panels of windows of vehicles, motor boats, &c. consist of two channel-shaped metal parts A, B united to a distance-piece C. Where the guides have hinged extensions, plates M are riveted to the fixed parts with spacing blocks J, K between the channels at the rivets, and a block S between the channels of the hinged part at the pivot R. The inner channel is lined with felt &c. E. secured by cement &c. The upright guides may be secured to the cant-rail by angle-plates and rivets with spacing members at the rivets. The plates M may have lugs screwed to the body of the door &c. The flanges of the inner channel may be bent inwardly at some parts, to cause sufficient friction to hold the window in any position, or springs or elastic cushions may be placed between the inner and outer channels for this purpose.
