Abstract
186,861. Young, J. H., and Robertson Co., H. R. Dec. 6, 1921. Pitch and tar.-Bituminous materials. such as tar, pitch, and the like are fire-proofed by an admixture of a halogen substitution-product of naphthalene. preferably chloro-naphthalene. The solid, highly chlorinated compounds are most effective, an addition of 30 per cent of these being sufficient.
