Lighting systems. - In filament lamps of the kind described in Specification 155,238, wherein a condenser in a low-voltage lamp is arranged in series with the filament to enable the lamp to be used in a high-voltage alternating-current circuit, the condenser as arranged in parallel with a great ohmic resistance, or alternatively a leaky condenser is used, to prevent the fusing of the filament.
