185,270. Harris, R. R. July 1, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Teeth-cleaning appliances. -Portable apparatus for cleaning the teeth and gums comprises a liquid-container having means mounted on it for supplying gas under pressure, a delivery pipe mounted to swivel relatively to the container carrying a fine nozzle, and a plunger actuated valve for controlling the liquid . delivered. On the container 1 is mounted a. screw stopper 2 carrying a cap 4 in which is mounted a steel cylinder 5 containing compressed gas. A piercing-tool 6 mounted in the stopper and provided with an axial passage admits gas to the container on the cap 4 being screwed down. Screwed into the stopper 2 is a cylinder 8 carrying a valve 11 actuated by a plunger 14 for controlling the passage of liquid through the pipe 9 to the outlet 21. The outlet 21 is mounted so as to swivel on the nipple 19 and carries a small bore nozzle 23 at its outer end.
