Abstract

Measuring-apparatus. - Means for indicating flow or excess pressure in pipes comprises a casing with an inlet 2, Fig. 2, covered by a cap 4 on a spindle 6 with a weighted arm 8, Fig. 1. The cap 4 is moved by the excess pressure or flow to bring the weighted arm past the perpendicular. During the subsequent fall of the arm, a block 10 acts on one end of a lever 13 to remove it from engagement with a contact, which is then moved by a spring to complete the electrical circuit of an alarm and indicator.
