184,440. Boudou, F. Aug. 11, 1921, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Seading fee not paid). Hair-waving.-A tube A, upon which the hair is wound, is fitted with a coned head B, slotted at C for the reception of the end of the strand of hair. The head B is clutched to the tube A, so as to prevent relative turning of these parts, bv means of a rod D and forked lever K pivoted to it at L, the fork of the lever K pressing upon a movable cap I, between which and a washer G is constrained a spring H. On turning down the lever K, the fork no longer presses on the cap 1, thus freeing the head B from the tube A for independent rotation.
