Abstract

184,201. Dismore, A. V. Feb. 4, 1921. Folding seats; seating-surfaces, attachin.p.- Each transverse rail of a camp chair or the like comprises two wooden sections i and J, a groove k in one engaging a projection l on the other, and a metallic bar g of which the body is detachably enclosed by the sections. An end of the seating material d is passed through a slot h between the sections, round the bar g, and thence round the sections. The bar g is of square cross-section except at the ends, where it is circular and, projects through the side members a, b, c. The ends m of the bar are screwthreaded to receive nuts e. A tongue is preferably provided at each end of the transverse rail to engage a corresponding recess p in the adjacent side member. The side members a, b, c are pivotally connected by headed bolts s associated with washers u, t, sleeves v, and nuts e<6>.
