Spring surfaces.-In a deck chair of the kind having a seat and back formed of one piece of canvas A supported from the upper rail by springs C, the canvas is not reinforced bv transverse bars but is left flexible transversely along the line uf spring suspension and throughout the whole of its extent. Where more than two springs C are employed the side springs may be made stronger than the inner ones.
