Luggage-carriers.-A kit-holder for cycles is in the form of an inverted box 1 constructed to depend from the ordinary rear carrier and having a narrow trough-like compartment 2 extending continuously around the two sides and one edge of the wheel so that an article of considerable length can be accommodated therein without creasing across the length of the article. Stiff sheets 17, of cardboard &c., shaped to the compartment 2, may be used to carry trousers &c. which are placed between the sheets of the carrier and secured by straps 18 thereon or elastic bands may be used to hold the sheets together temporarily before placing them in the compartment, the straps 18 being secured to the sides of the box 1. A tray 5, resting on the box 1 and forming a second part of the kit-holder, may be provided, the whole being enclosed by a cover 6 the sides and rear end of which extend to the bottom of the holder while the front 7 extends downwards only slightly beyond the bottom of the tray 5; flanges 60 on the cover co-operate with flanges 3 on the box 1 to prevent dust entering the compartment 2. A compartment for tools &c. accessible from outside the cover is formed in the top thereof by a flanged box 11 supported within an aperture in the cover and closed by a hinged lid 10 secured by a strap and buckle 13, 14. The cover is secured to the box 1 and the whole to the cycle by straps 8 on the box and buckles 9 on the cover. When the straps 8 are disengaged from the cycle and pulled tight, the complete kit-holder may be carried by a handle 15. A lamp bracket 16 is secured to the cover. The sides 4 of the compartment 2 may extend to the full height of the box 1 and may be hinged thereto at their lower edges. The upper part of the holder may be a separate box secured to thetop of the lower part.
