Abstract

183,417. Buffalo Specialty Co., (Assignees of Schaedel, H. V.). July 20, 1921, [Convention date]. Mops.-In a polishing-swab comprising a flexible fabric structure folded centrally of its length and provided with fringes constituting the polishing portion, the fabric is folded upon itself and means are provided for connecting the folds together. As shown, pieces of fibrous material 7 ara sewn to strips of cotton 8 and then doubled longitudinally, the halves being sewn together to form a loop 11 within which is inserted a flexible metal strip 14. The swab is folded upon itself, the folds being secured together by means of snap fasteners 15, 16. The metal strip 14 may be dispensed with, in which case a padded portion fcims the upper part of the swab.
