Abstract

182,953. Morris, B. J. April 18, 1921. Bayonet-joint fastenings.-A fastening for necklets, pendants, &c., consists of two cylinders A, B fitted one within the other and held by a bayonet-joint of which the groove G is on the outer cylinder A, and the stud C on the inner cylinder B. The cylinder B has a protruding spring-pressed stud D which holds the fixed stud O tightly within the recess J at the end of the bayonet-slot G. Both cylinders have rings F at their closed ends upon which the pendant &c. is fastened. The cylinder A may have an upstanding bridge-piece L over the end of the slot G for strengthening purposes, the head of the stud C passing under it when moved into and out of the slot G.
