Motor implements.-The front part of a threewheeled motor plough consists of a cast-iron frame a on which the engine is mounted and which forms the gear-box and carries the bearings b, c for the counter-shaft and the axle of the driving-wheels respectively. The motor drives through a reverse gear 5, 6, 7 a pinion 1 meshing with the pinion 2 of the differential gear that drives pinions 3, 4 gear-wheels on the road engaging internally-toothed wheels. The rear members of the frame d carrying the steering-wheel are secured to the cast-iron frame a by screws e. The rim of the furrow wheel is of greater diameter than that of the land wheel but the land wheel is provided with irons which project beyond the rim some distance so that the wheel runs on these irons when travelling on hard roads and some compensation is given for the extra diameter of the furrow wheel; when ploughing, however, the irons of the land wheel sink into the ground and the plough is maintained approximately horizontal. Specification 150,704 is referred to. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), comprises also a U-shaped member f pivoted at the front of the frame a and carrying a cross rod g provided with grooves into which the front end of a multiple-furrow plough may be fitted. The cross rod may be raised by turning a screwed shaft h carrying a nut secured to the rod by a link i. The rear of the plough is provided with hooks k which engage the transverse part of a U-shaped member n which is pivoted at each side to a bracket which may be vertically adjusted by a screw m' to compensate for the lateral tilt of the plough. A wire cable, attached to the rear of the plough member, passes over pulleys p, q and is secured to the nut on the sl:aft h. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
