Ploughs.-A motor-plough comprises a tractor frame, supported on two front driving-wheels and a rear steering-wheel, and a plough frame B attached to and drawn by the tractor through a vertically adjustable coupling C. The land wheel is provided with deep oblique ribs so that the tractor frame may be maintained practically horizontal whether travelling on a road or across the field with the furrow-wheel in a furrow. The coupling C is adjusted vertically by a lever or by a nut 11 riding on a hand-operated screw I, the nut being connected to the coupling C by a link I2. A cord I3 passes from the nut over pulleys on the frame to the rear of the plough frame so that when the coupling C is raised considerably the rear of the plough frame is lifted from the ground, thus enabling the machine to be turned. The ploughs are maintained in position by a guiding-frame F pivoted to the tractor frame and engaged by hooks G1, G2 on the plough beams. One pivot of the frame F is vertically adjustable, and the rear of this frame is provided with pedals F1, F2 so that the driver can press on the plough frame as needed. The entire transmission gear with the motor is arranged in a common frame. To enable the machine to be turned sharply a hand-operated brake may be applied to the driving-wheel at one side. Specification 106,829 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that the motor drives the main wheels through a differential gearing operating pinions d and h in opposite directions, these pinions meshing with external and internal gear-wheels respectively on the driving-wheels. The tractive forces imparted to the two driving wheels may be different. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
