Abstract

181,656. Coles, F. W. Dec. 7, 1921. Copying-presses.-A press for trousers, copying &c. consists of a lower board 1 carrying hooked lugs 2 at each side, and an upper board 4 with metal straps 5 in line with the lugs 2. Two metal bars 6 hinged together at 7 are retained on the straps 5 by a pin 15 and a slot 14 and carry teeth 12 at their ends adapted to engage the lugs 2. Pressure is applied to one of the bars 6 by a cam-lever 16 fulcrumed between lugs 10 on a forked extension 8 of the other bar 6. In a modification, pressure from a single pair of the levers 6 is distributed to four points on the press by means of two rods which carry teeth at each end.
