Abstract
259,413. Greenaway, A. T. Nov. 24, 1925. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Trouser and like presses.--A press for trousers, neck-ties, &c. consists of upper and lower boards b, a pressed together by means of longitudinallyarranged wire loop springs f which are connected together in pairs by transverse bars or handles g and have bends f<1> adapted to deflect and engage pivoted notched locking-bars c. The U-shaped bars c are secured to the under side of the lower board a by means of spring-pivots h, and the upright limbs of the bars are diminished on one edge c<1> and provided with one or more notches. The garment to be pressed having been placed between the boards, pressure is applied to the handles g to compress the springs f and cause the upright limbs of the bars c to move on their pivots and engage the notches d with the bends f<1> of the springs.
