Abstract

Washing-plangers. - A suction plunger has one-way valves disposed around the handle socket in combination with a perforated shell below the valves to prevent fouling by the clothes. The plunger is divided into two porticns by a diaphragm e in which are ball-valves g, the lower portion containing the inner shell b and openings being provided in the wall of the upper portion. In a modification, the diaphragm e is dispensed with, and flap-valves g are provicled in the wall of the outer shell, and the' shell b may be replaced by a perforated plate p.
