Systems for continuous-current motors only.- In control systems employing lock-out contactors which are required to remain inoperative under certain conditions, for example, during inching, the usual series winding of one contactor 3 is replaced by a winding in parallel with the whole or part of the starting resistance 9 and connected to a two-way switch 6. One side a of the two-way switch is employed when the contactor is required to operate. The other side b, which is disconnected from the contactor winding, is employed for inching.
