Electric stoves.-In heaters comprising a resistance wire wound on the insulating cover of a metallic core which serves as the return wire, the complete unit is constructed so as to be flexible. A resistance wire 11 is coiled on the insulating material 13 covering a core wire 12, both wires being readily bendable, the prefered materials being nichrome for the wire and core and loose asbestos for the insulation. The ends of the core are exposed, one being connected at 15 directly with the resistance 11 and the other having a terminal 14 carrying a binding post 16. A second post 17 is mounted on the lug 14, but insulated therefrom, and is connected to the terminal 18 of the resistance wire. The complete unit is mounted in spaced supports 27, 28 secured to a baseplate. The supports have insulated eyelets for sliding into position over the unit, or may have open grooves with lugs that are bent over the unit to secure it.
