Fluid-actuated valves. - In compression refrigerating machines, the flow of liquefied refrigerant to the evaporator is regulated automatically according to the rate of flow of gaseous refrigerant. The control device may comprise a floating-disc 9, balanced by springs 10, 11, located in the delivery pipe 8 of the compressor 1, the device being connected by a lever 12 and yielding connection 16 to a throttling device 17 located between the condenser 4 and the expansion valve 6. Alternatively, the throttling device 17 may be combined with the expansion valve 6, which is then preferably provided also with a manual adjustment; or the flow-sensitive device may be located in the suction pipe of the compressor.
