Lantern gratings.-Gridshaped screens for preventing the glare of motor-car lamps are constructed so that a large unscreened opening is provided in the lower part of the lamp opening. In one form, a casing 1 is provided with vertical and horizontal partitions 2. 3, which enclose cells 4 so that an opening 6 is provided between the lower edge 5 of the screen and the casing 1.
