Abstract

175,106. Hurburgh, H. F. D. Nov. 24, 1920. Studs.-Relates to two-part collar studs of the kind in which a threaded stem carrying the head screws into a hollow shank attached to the base. According to the invention, the circular base a of the stud has a portion cut away to form a straight edge a<1>, so as to prevent the stud from rolling if dropped. T h i s feature is shown in Figs. 1 and 2 which illustrate a stud in which only the upper parts of the hollow shank A and of the stem B are screw-threaded. To enable the length of the stud to be increased, one or more threaded sleeves E, Fig. 3, which form an extension of the shank A, may be screwed on the stem B before its end is screwed into the shank.
