Tyres, elastic, special apparatus for making.-In a device for applying the bead cores C<x>, D<x> to a partially-built tyre foundation, the cores are carried by inner and outer rings C, D respectively which are mounted coaxially with the spindle B of the rotary former A. Hooks G' adapted to engage through slots C<4>, the boss of the inner ring C are jaurnaled on eccentrics E<2>, on the boss of the ring D. The rings C, D are adjusted to or from the former A by means of a hand-lever F. The inner faces of the rings C, D may be formed with slight swells between the spokes or arms C<1>, D'.
