Abstract

Combined solid-fuel and gas stoves; air supply, regulating.-In gas fittings for the ovens of coalfired stoves, of the type in which an air-inlet damper, an outlet damper, and the gas supply cook are interconnected for simultaneous operation, a slide-valve, Fig. 4, in the form of an opensided box is arranged between openings 1, 3 in the oven bottom and casing respectively. The upper face 4 of this valve controls the opening 1, and the lower face 5 the opening 3, the valve being operated in a direction transverse to its length by rods 7. A tubular gas burner is arranged within the valve parallel to the openings 1, 3, the gas cock 14 having horns 13 engaging openings 15 in the valve, the movement of which thus operates the cock. A sliding valve 11 in the upper part of the oven is connected by an arm 9 to one of the rods 7.
