Cells; cleaning.-To facilitate the washing out of accumulators and other cells, a groove or channel b is attached to or moulded or cut in the cell wall beneath an opening f in the cover as shown in Fig. 1. When the cell is to be cleaned it is inverted and a tube connected to a water supply passed through the opening f into the groove b. The opening f is normally closed by a plug, which may form the gas vent.
