Abstract

172,466. Leifer, L. G. Oct. 4, 1920. Food, conditioning.-Musty grain and stale fish are rendered fit for use by treatment with a solution of sodium chloride which has been subjected to electrolysis. The material is placed in a bath of the solution which is circulated through an electrolyzer and returned to the bath. After the process is complete, the grain is allowed to rest for a while and then washed. Alternatively the material may be suffused with the electrolyzed solution.
