Abstract

Conveyer apparatus, injector.-Apparatus for raising liquids comprises a Venturi tube d through which liquid is forced by compressed air from a nozzle c into a centrifugal or other separating chamber g where the air separates from the liquid and passes by a pipe i to the inlet side of the compressor which feeds the nozzle c. The liquid is forced up the pipe h by the pressure of the separated air. A valve may be arranged between the pipes a, i to regulate the relative pressures in the two pipes, and a second valve may be arranged in the pipe i to admit fresh air to the compressor. The compressed air may be delivered to the pipe d by a number of nozzles surrounded by a perforated sleeve. A floatvalve k prevents liquid from entering the pipe i.
